Woodstock of Australia

We finally found it! After traveling to the other side of the world, we found Woodstock, a.k.a. Nimbin. As you can tell it is a colorful town. Marijuana is actually illegal there but during our short visit, we were approached multiply times to purchase drugs. All this was sponsored by the teaching exchange league!

Our destination was actually Byron Bay. We had a 3 day weekend because it was the Queen's birthday (Queen of England). I guess it is like our President's Day, if it was the presidents of another country we were honoring... Whatever the excuse, we loved having an extra day off. We billeted at a previous exchangee's house. The wife was originally from Colorado and after she married an Australian, they did an other exchange in Spokane, Wa.

The picture of Mike and I, is taken at the easternmost point of Australia's mainland.

I knew I liked Australia, but when I found out they grow penises on trees (is that the plural spelling of penis?), I liked it even more. Note the picture of Mike comparing his package to that of the tree.

The weather is here, I wish you were all beautiful.
